This hotel is not in good condition. The owners are letting the property go. There were spiders in our room. My travel mates said they felt like things were crawling on them all night. The linens were dirty. The towels were dirty. The bathroom water and toilet were working so, that was a plus. This place needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt. The asians that own or operate aren't doing any good with it. I am surprised there were any guests there. I won't book there again.
Location is excellant to walk to the main Shopping of Estes Park.
They didn't have our Non smoking room reserved for us. They had our reservation but did not keep us a non smoking room. The room we stayed in was dirty and non kept. The phone was filthy dirty, the carpets were not clean and the bedding was stained. The bed was uncomfortable as it didn't have a fitted sheet on the mattress so the sheets kept bunching up. The hotel is in need of alot of updating with remodeling of inside and outside.
Clean but shabby
Run down, bare bones motel, no toiletries. Pool was filthy green/black
In major need of repair Sheets too small for the bed TV would not operate properly Bath would not hold water Heat could not be shut off
I like the location. We stay there once a year for the Longs Peaks Scottish/Irish Festival. It's fairly cheap, but the rooms are very old and ragged. The beds are hard and the pillow flat. We love the lady in the office/owner. She is always very pleasent. The bathrooms are spotless, but small. They do the job. We really only sleep there and are gone most of the days.
The wall paper is coming off the walls and as I said above, the beds are very hard and the pillow flat.
The price was cheaper than most Hotels but for that price it should have been cleaner.
The towels were dingy yellow. The pool was not working and green slime. The smoke detector in our room was not working and didnt even have a battery in it. We had the end of roll of toilet paper with no extra in the room. Over all for the price we paid I am very disappointed.
dirty, old smelly, poor comdition
Price was cheaper than others in town, probably because they don't seem to be doing any maintenance on their building. Room was acceptably clean.
No Air Conditioning! WiFi signal from motel a half mile away was stronger signal than from this hotel. When I checked in light switch turned on a single low wattage bulb. All other lights in the room were not even plugged in, so I had to hunt for outlets to plug them in. Old 19 inch tube tv without remote. Ceiling fan didn't seem to move any air. Thank goodness that I had brought a small fan. Didn't have any outlets near one window that opened so I couldn't use my fan to help cool off room. Mismatched lawn chairs somtimes 1, sometimes 2 outside room so that you could escape the heat. If it had air conditioning and a remote control for the tv it would have been almost acceptable. Electronic locks did not work so I was given master key to room. Wondered how many others had been given that key. Lobby was cluttered. Seems that owners are milking property for money and not putting any money back into maintenance and remodeling.
It was available and had a good location.
It was poorly maintained and needed serious updating.
I liked the original old wood look. The view was fantastic and the wildlife unbelievably close! The front desk very accomadating. Location within walking distance of food, shops and best of all, the Stanley Hotel and historic sites. The price was one of the better offers for the area of Estes Park, CO.
The floor and building was very creeky and old, but I like the authentic look and we were looking for paranormal activity which made this location perfect for our needs. Towels were washed, but looked as if stained. They need new ones.
Location, comfortable bed
Parts of the hotel need repair and updating. Much seems to go back to the 50's
Filthy, yes I do mean literally “filthy”, dust and dirt on all the lobby table surfaces, floor had not been mopped in years, clutter and junk piled up all over the place, several rooms had missing windows which appear to be in various states of repair / remodeling, 3 in deep water stream mixed with hillside mud from rain storm running down hallway: I am not kidding. The first room smelled like mold with smoke mixed in, discussing, the second room we were provided was not cleaned from the previous guests. What a mess, we had to leave. Don’t EVER think of staying here, the worse place we have EVER seen.
I have read all the reviews and I agree with most of them. This Hotel is in great need of maintenance and cosmetic upgrade. The chairs were broken and the pool needed maintence. But what surprised me the most is no Smoke Detectors in the rooms or fire extinguishers. I thought it was code in all Hotels. It was a very old wooden structure. Patches on the wall need of paint, water pressure low TV did not work and the chairs were broken. I felt very unsafe without a smoke detector!
The structures lack of maintence and need of upgrade. I did not feel safe here. This Hotel was not like it was presented in Booked.net
The hotel is within 15 minutes of Rocky Mountain National Park.
It is an older motel. The rooms need repainting and the dark color rug needs replaced. The room was dark. The air conditioner only put out a small amount of cool air.
The staff was friendly!
The room did not have a/c and it got quite hot. The majority of the light fixtures did not work in the room. The pool and hot tub were dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned in quite some time. The "beach furniture" by the pool was in shambles. The mattresses were not very comfortable. Not all rooms had a refrigerator.
